It was my joy to photograph the charming Shogren family  this month. As you can tell from the pictures below, they are a fun and spontaneous crowd. Karen, the beautiful mom of the clan, has been a very good friend to me over the years. She is artistic and engaging, down to earth and strong. I count myself blessed to know her and her family. She was present for me during the most difficult time in my life. For that I am deeply grateful. Her love for God and people lives on through the generations surrounding her and to come. Be blessed, Shogren family in all that you do! You are exquisite inside and out!

 I had the joy of capturing Laura and Steve Madison this week. Laura has served in the ministry with the middle schoolers at our church and is so adorable. She wanted to give Steve a photo session for his birthday.  We had so much fun! I could not stop laughing during our shoot. I know for sure I fell to the ground laughing at least once if not more! They are beautiful together.  They are still fairly new at marriage, but familiar enough with one another that they know all each other’s cues. They needed very little direction. We set out a chair by the railroad tracks and waited for a train.  They did the rest! Thanks for such a fun day, Steve and Laura. May you have many more years together to come!
