Little Cowboys and Family
12.26.08

I have known my friend Kelly for about six years now. She is a real treasure. I value her and her friendship and am so thankful to have her in my life. These are her three cowboys. I have so enjoyed watching them grow and become who they are.  As you will see from the pictures below, they are all boys, through and through, and all are very unique. They are a wonderful mixture of their mom and dad, and yet each so special and one of a kind. Smart, funny, (oh so funny!), inquisitive, brave, adventurous, intuitive, and the list could go on and on.

I look forward to going out to Kelly and Keith’s farm every year and photographing them in action. No sense having anyone pose when they are so delightful when they are doing what they love. I did have my son Johnny do the funny dance to get all three smiling together for a shot or two, though. What would I do without my trusted and hilarious assistant?

Enjoy looking at these photos of our adventure at the Anderson Farm. :)

Love Storie..
12.01.08

I had the joy of photographing Storie McCormick and her mom and dad, Brandon and Kim last week.

Storie is a special little girl and very well-loved as you can see from the photos below. She is a miracle baby, as all babies are, but she was born very early and has fought hard to be the plump, healthy and joyful little baby she is. Her daddy is a filmmaker and tells stories for a living, thus her name. She is a story all on her own, but she is also part of a much bigger tale involving loving grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles, a doting mom and dad, and a plethora of friends who find her irresistible. Her middle name is Amor, which means love. Her name literally means love story, which she is and has become part of.

Blessings, Brandon and Kimmie! Thanks for sharing your blessing with me.
